This annual event takes place on the second Saturday in June (registration starts at 10am ET), and benefits Franklin's Promise Coalition, a Franklin County-based non-profit organization.

For more than 30 years, the Blue Parrot Mullet Toss has been hosted on the beach behind Blue Parrot. Participants pay a small entry fee and receive two mullet to throw, along with a unique Mullet Toss T-Shirt. Prizes are awarded for the longest throws in each division (divided by age and gender).

Locals look forward to this event all year long and visitors plan their vacations around it. Everyone has a great time spending the day at the beach, listening to music, enjoying the food, and competing for cash, prizes and most importantly… bragging rights! The current Mullet Toss record holder is "Wiggler." (216 feet! WOW!)
